Polyline Pipe Systems Ltd (PPS or the Company) has innovative and high-tech technology that has the potential to disrupt the global HDPE pipe market. The significant points of difference and sustainable competitive advantages include:

The technology has the potential for a global roll out focusing on infrastructure, agriculture, water, O&G and mining sectors. The company is finalising its current seed offering at the same time as accelerating its commercialisation drive to secure its maiden contract.

Mobile pipe extrusion is likely to provide a better quality, cheaper and quicker product to market, than the current conventional pipe laying technology. PPS's technology should provide a product that is smooth and continuous, with significantly less welds combined with a significant reduction in transport and associated site related labour costs.

By contrast, traditional pipe installation is clunky and inefficient, with multiple welds, sizeable transport and labour expenses which can outweigh the HDPE pipe costs.

In developing mobile pipe extrusion equipment that can be transported to the actual job site, along with bulk containerised high-density HDPE resin, the HDPE manufacturing process becomes a project specific, real time, customised operation. Mobile extrusion uses the same HDPE pipe extrusion process as used in fixed factories, at a similar extrusion cost, however the mobile extrusion facilitates significantly reduced pipe transportation costs, minimal installation costs and logistics, drastically reduced onsite manpower requirements, whilst improving pipeline QA/QC and minimising the overall exposure/risk borne by the customer.

Furthermore, continuous mobile pipe extrusion delivers a reduced carbon footprint for the pipeline installation process.

PPS's technology materially differentiates itself from the current conventional approach to HDPE pipeline construction, and delivers prospective clients highly compelling dynamics that should immediately add value, comprising:

  • Continuous pipelines substantially reduce welding requirements and associated costs.
  • Reduced truck/container movements and transport costs to site.
  • Reduced requirements for site lay-down and storage areas for pipe lengths and pre-installation equipment
  • Reduced welds minimises potential failure points
  • Reduced internal welding seams = less turbulence, better flow, and less wear = longer pipeline life
  • Reduced site pipe handling, cranage and equipment = reduced costs and potential pipe damage.
  • Faster installation of pipeline = reduced costs and expedited timeline
  • On board QA/QC technology at point of extrusion, leads to continuous monitoring and logged product traceability accessible to client in real time.

PPS only produces HDPE pipe, a thermoplastic high-density polyethylene. HDPE pipe is globally preferred as a means of fluid and gas transfer suitable for trenchless, surface, and buried installation methods and is considered to be the most environmentally friendly, cost effective means of fluid transfer available today.

PPS intends to raise the necessary funds to commercialise its existing MPX 630 extruder, with a view to then establishing a fleet of mobile pipe extruders to meet domestic and global demand.

The Company's plans for 2021 include:

  • Complete the mobilisation and commercialisation of the MPX630
  • Develop the contract list from within the mining, agricultural and infrastructure sectors in Australia
  • Broaden the prospective client base globally
  • Build the PPS' brand-name globally
  • Complete pre-IPO funding round
  • Prepare for IPO in second half of 2021
  • Expand the fleet by 1-2 mobile extruders
  • Build and maintain a strong governance and safety culture.

Then from 2022 onwards it will be a matter of increasing revenue and NPAT and coupling more technology to our products, so they become an integral product to use in the majority of HDPE piping applications.
